Apres Ski
Apres Ski reimagines Isenau in Les Diablerets, Switzerland, by addressing both pressing infrastructural needs and long-term environmental challenges like climate change and the decline of snow. The design features a multifunctional plinth that reorganizes ski, pedestrian, and vehicle circulation, while a bridge marks the end of the ski slope and provides access to a youth hostel below.
The architecture emphasizes sustainability through strategic orientation for solar gain, use of thermal mass materials, and landscape integration for insulation. Programmatically, it fosters year-round vitality by combining tourism and local community functions—supporting skiing in winter and markets in summer—to create an economically and socially resilient alpine destination.
